The salary of an experienced developer in Minsk can be even higher than in Western Europe, and at the moment it is definitely higher than in Moscow, since Belarusian programmers earn in dollars and have not yet suffered from the currency crisis. At the same time, expenses in Belarus are significantly lower than in Western Europe. For example, renting an apartment in Minsk is at least twice cheaper than in European cities, and no more expensive than in Moscow - a good apartment in the capital of Belarus can be rented for 300-500 dollars.
Thus, in Belarus, a developer can ensure a higher standard of living than in Western Europe. theRunet spoke with a Belarusian programmer who worked in Frankfurt (Germany) for a year and a half, but then returned to Minsk.
<p>"My salary after taxes is higher here than in Germany. At the same time, list of qatar cell phone numbers there are very good apartments here, which are not available to ordinary IT specialists in Frankfurt, they cost 300-500 dollars a month.</p>
<p>In general, the IT sphere here is much more pleasant - the number of different events, conferences is huge compared to Germany. The difference is that a lot of talents leave Germany for England, America, Switzerland (where salaries are higher), etc. Therefore, it is very difficult in the IT sphere itself. There is not enough information exchange"</p>
Soviet mathematical school
The only factor that is common to Russia and Belarus is the Soviet mathematical school, known throughout the world. Belarusian universities graduate strong theoretical specialists who, if they wish, can use their mathematical thinking in practice. This is both a plus and a minus - on the one hand, there are many smart, educated young people in Belarus, on the other hand, not a single university teaches programming in accordance with modern technologies and, especially, the organization of IT business.
"There are a huge number of people with cool ideas and products in Belarus - this is the most important thing. There are certain, probably traditional for Belarusians, difficulties with communications - not everyone knows how to present themselves correctly, promote themselves, not everyone can find investments to complete at least prototypes or first versions of products. But these are quite solvable issues," says Artem Rabzonov.
