The article contains questions to help creators and publishers assess the quality of content created for a website or blog post. It was a response to an update called Panda , which was officially launched on February 23, 2011. In August of that year, Google introduced Panda for other languages, including Czech. In 2016, the Panda algorithm became part of Google's core algorithm.
The link to the above-mentioned article by Amit Singhal appears in a text on the Google Search Central Blog from August 2022 , which was created precisely because of the helpful content update :
“How can you be sure you’re creating content that sri lanka email list will be successful with our new update? Follow our long-standing advice and guidelines to create content for people, not search engines.”
The "long-standing advice" is the questions contained in the 2011 article , and the "guidance" refers to the Google Search Essentials document .
However, the expected "big bang" did not occur after the introduction of the helpful content rating system at the turn of August and September 2022. Olaf Kopp , head of the SEO department at the German online marketing agency Aufgesang GmbH, believed in the article " Google's helpful content update: A critical recap " (September 14, 2022) that it was a well-planned and executed PR campaign by Google.
"The name of the update is similar to the names of Page Experience or Mobile Friendliness updates, but it is different from core updates, i.e. search algorithm updates and systems like Hummingbird, Panda or Penguin. It also directly describes what it covers, which works better from a PR perspective than a nonsensical name. Thanks to this, the main message that Google Search will be even more useful is implicit in almost every message."
"Follow our long-standing advice and instructions"
