We went through the process of building processes about two years ago, when we were just assembling the team. I was reading industry media and blogs and consulting with my acquaintances from the industry. We came up with some ideas ourselves and tested them right away: when the team is small, you can simply agree to live for a couple of weeks “in the new reality” .
Development Methodology
I would be lying if I said that we hesitated for a long time with the importance of ig database choice of development methodology. We rejected Waterfall right away. Trying to build a spaceship according to a strict plan without the ability to abandon some ideas along the way is not our story at all. We are for flexibility (this is, by the way, one of the core values of Aitarget), so we chose the Agile approach.
We started working with weekly sprints according to Scrum. Then we realized that this period was not enough for our tasks, and doubled it.
We have all the relevant Scrum attributes:
We hold daily stand-ups where we meet or call the team for 15 minutes to see how everyone is doing;
there are planning meetings where we sit down with development and design to break down the tasks we want to implement;
At the end of the sprint we gather for a retrospective and discuss what we succeeded in doing and what we failed to do and why;
Every two weeks we hold a demo - we meet with marketing, sales & support, managers, HR, finance and share updates and significant figures .
