What's new on Instagram in 2025?
Adam Mosseri has outlined Instagram's priorities for the new year, which begins now, to improve and grow the platform.
The two areas to focus on in 2025 are "Creativity" and "Connection," focusing on leveraging Instagram's creative tools to be the best in the industry, introducing new technologies as they are already doing with artificial intelligence.
The use of AI will allow creators to be more productive by creating more videos they can be proud of, thus rewarding originality in that content, something they've already been working on throughout this year to improve ways to monetize Instagram. They'll also be making algorithmic updates to help smaller creators grow on the app; on the other hand, profiles with more followers may stagnate.
