From company account to personal account
You can only make your account private if you have a personal account. If you have a business account, you can convert it to a personal account by following these steps:
Go to 'Settings and privacy' via the hamburger menu on your profile
Click on 'Account Privacy'
Switch to a private account here
Adjust your Stories privacy settings
In addition to setting your account to private, there are other options to ensure your privacy on Instagram. For example, you can get started with the settings for your Stories. When you post a Story, it is visible to everyone on a public account for 24 hours. So that's not just your followers, but everyone on Instagram. Are there people you don't want to see your Stories? Then you can hide your Story from certain people:
Tap 'Hide story and live videos' and search for accounts
Click on 'Hide' behind the name
Adjust Instagram stories settings for more privacy
If you do this, it will apply to all Stories you post. So they won't be able to see photos and videos in your Stories, but they won't be able to watch your live videos either.
Respond to Stories
You can also decide for yourself whether people can respond to your Stories and share them in their job function email database own story. To do this, go to 'Messages and replies to stories'. Here under 'Message settings' you can indicate whether you want everyone to be able to send chat messages or only the people you follow. And also whether you want to receive message requests from others or not. In addition, you can indicate whether you can be added to group chats by everyone on Instagram, or only by followers.
Under 'Answers to stories' you can choose from the options:
Allow replies from all followers
Allow replies from followers you also follow
Do not allow story answers
Additionally, for more privacy, you can show or hide your activity status (when you were last online) and read receipts of chat messages.
Under settings you will also find the heading 'Sharing', where you will find options to allow or disallow others to share stories. This determines whether people can share your Story or Instagram post to their own Story (for example if they are tagged in it), or via direct message (DM) with other users.
