Post by jrineakter »

We start with the letter "a". I invite you right away to pause and do this exercise and look for all these words, one word per category that begins with the letter "a".

per category. For the first names, what did we choose for you? We chose Aaron, Adam, Adrien, Agnès, Aline, Alix, Amandine, Apolline, Allister, Aurélie. If, of course, you have another first name that begins with an "a" and that is not in the list, you can check if it is correct in a dictionary.

At the animal level, maybe more difficult. You had the word bee, lamb, egret, donkey, eel, spider, ostrich, alligator.

At the city level, so we will give you some French cities, which count double, so you have two points if you found a French city: Annecy, Angers, Argelès-sur-Mer etc. And iraq whatsapp number data elsewhere, it works very well too: Amsterdam, Adelaide, Algiers, Abidjan.

As for professions: farmer, lawyer, architect, actor, actress, astronaut, ambulance driver, etc.

For food: apricot, garlic, peanut, pineapple, almond, asparagus, oats or eggplant.

And for the verbs, you could choose: weaken, knock down, welcome, amplify, accept, animate, light up etc.

Again, if you chose other words, check in a dictionary if they are correct and score yourself a point if you guessed them. You see, this game is simple, and quite fun, I think.

Second letter, attention, drum roll, we're going to take the letter "m". Here we go. You can pause. Here are some possible answers.

First name level: Maël, Maëlys, Marcel, Michel, Michelle, Marcus, Mathieu, Maxime, Maude, Myriam etc.

As for animals, it's not easy: penguin, mongoose, marmot, porpoise, jellyfish, walrus, seagull or sheep.

In terms of cities, in France, you had: Marseille, Metz, Marciac. Elsewhere, you had: Madrid, Minsk, Malmö, Manchester.

In terms of profession, you have a mason, a market gardener, a mechanic. Of course, the feminine ones work. Meteorologist, museographer, lifeguard.

As for the food, you could choose: mackerel, melon, lamb's lettuce, corn, chestnut, mango, mustard, mint.

And as for French verbs, there are plenty, but you could choose: mâcher, maigrir, manipulate, monopoliser, mariner, masser, miroiter.

Again, check if the words you chose are not in this list.

And finally, third letter, the letter "s". You are looking for a word or words that begin with the letter "s". You can go ahead. Pause.

As for first names, here are some possible answers: Sabine, Sébastien, Simon, Sacha, Sandrine, Sophie, Sylvain, Samuel.

As for animals, not easy again: salamander, wild boar, grasshopper, cuttlefish, monkey, mouse, scorpion.

In terms of cities, in France, it counts double, don't forget: Soissons, Saint-Cyr, Strasbourg. Elsewhere, you can have: Salt Lake City, Seattle, Sofia, São Paulo.

As for jobs with an "s", not easy either: midwife, script supervisor, secretary, sculptor, sommelier, locksmith, waiter. Once again, you can put these words in the feminine.

As for foods: saffron, semolina, soy, salsify, sesame, salmon or rye.

And some French verbs that worked well: seize, salivate, soap, know, seal and savor.

Again, if you have chosen other words, you can check if these words are correct by going to an online dictionary for example.

So there you have it, the goal, obviously, is to go and find other words, to challenge yourself a little bit, to find as many as possible. It's a game that is very interesting and very fun, so you can try to suggest it to your friends. It will help you practice your vocabulary together. And if you like the exercise, we can suggest another video with other letters, other categories. Just tell us in the comments.

You can also prepare your own games on different themes, a baccalaureate game on grammar, a baccalaureate game on verbs, on adverbs. You can really choose what you want in terms of category.

I hope you enjoyed it. Don't forget to download your PDF sheet . It includes all the answers we gave you and we even left you a little space so you can add your own words. The link is in the description of this video, at the very bottom, it's the first link.
