Last Tuesday, Prezi launched its new interface and design. The most striking thing is the disappearance of the beloved 'bubble'. The menu that Prezi made so unique had to make way for a sleek menu. But not only the interface had to go, the website and even the Prezi logo were renewed.
I have been using the new interface for over a month now, but for most Prezi users the interface will be really new and may take some getting used to. The lead designer of Prezi.com has written an extensive article about the how and why of the changes. I will discuss the changes in this article, because it is much more than the disappearance of the bubble menu.
Prezi grows up
Prezi itself says about the changes that 'it was time for that now'. In 2009, when Prezi switzerland telegram data started, an experimental and non-conventional interface was just right for a startup, which Prezi was then. The early adopters loved it, because it was innovative!
More than three years later, Prezi has proven to be a huge success and it is time for serious business, where they want to appeal to a larger group of people. Because Prezi has a dream. They want the presentation tool to be used to share ideas by all kinds of people in all kinds of situations. That is why Prezi had to become more accessible and more pleasant and efficient to use. Personally, I already found Prezi very easy to use, but perhaps that was not the case for everyone.
