And most importantly: it's fun

1) Writing Guide for Novelists: Life and Writing *
– by Stephen King

Writing Guide: Stephen KingAt first I thought the book was overrated – because everyone recommends it.

But then I read it myself and was impressed by King's honesty and humor. He doesn't mince his words and talks candidly about his life (especially the dark moments in his life).

It's a mix of writing advice and biography. So it's primarily of interest to people for whom writing is part of their lifestyle. Copywriters and marketers probably won't find anything for themselves here.

Best quote:

Write... Even if you feel like you're brazil telegram screening sitting down and shoveling shit."

You can find my article about this book here:

30 Writing Tips from Stephen King

For marketers I have a book list here: The 10 best marketing books .

2. Writing guide for copywriters, bloggers and journalists: German for young professionals *
– by Wolf Schneider

Writing Guide by Wolf Schneider

This book is the quickest way to a good writing style . It is small and fine.

I hate boring guides that make you fall asleep like you've drunk ten liters of valerian. Because fun is an important factor in learning - if you don't enjoy the text, you won't put it into practice.
