In the coming years, billions of new devices will malta mobile database the market as part of the development of the Internet of Things and mobile systems. They will work with data that requires control over its distribution and carry out operations that require special security measures. New devices will appear everywhere: in industry, healthcare, transport, housing. But how will their security be ensured? If this issue is not resolved today, if additional security measures are not taken in time, the situation may get out of control.
In response to the pressing need for data protection and control for emerging device classes, the OTrP Alliance working group was formed in early 2015 with the goal of creating a new standard to support secure data and code transactions. The group now has 13 members, including security experts ARM, Intercede, Solacia, and Symantec. The result of the work done over the past years is the new Open Trust Protocol ( OTrP ).
OTrP is based on the secure architecture of a specific set of tools. The new protocol is recognized to increase the security of existing technological mechanisms, for example, those actively used for banking operations or for working with sensitive data.
Marc Canel, vice president of Security Systems (part of ARM), told Electronic Design about OtrP, which is already largely complete. The group is currently in talks with the open international standards communities IETF and GlobalPlatform about adopting OTrP as a universal protocol.
