Business Central currently offers two types of licenses, Essential and Premium . The basic license ( Essential ) differs by: More economical Financial management Sales Shopping Supply chain management Project management Inventory and Warehouse Management As for the Premium license , it extends the standard functionalities by also providing the ' Service Management ' and ' Manufacturing' modules , compatible with the assembly functionality. The Premium license , unlike the Essential one , will improve these actions Service Contract Management Service Item Management Service Order Management Service Price Management Managing Bills of Materials Create production orders Planning and managing demand Shared Functions Between Manufacturing and Assembly in Business and the manufacturing module have common functions that make it easier to use both methods together.


Both allow the creation of bills of materials in which investor database we can include various levels of components ( raw materials or semi-finished products ). Each product will have a list of materials that make it up defined in the system, in this way when indicating the quantity to be assembled or manufactured of the main product, the system will use said list of materials and in this way it will be taken into account for planning, reservations and storage. In addition to detailing products, bills of materials can include the resources involved ( personnel or machinery ) , indicating the time they spend on production .
