I took a closer look at Userlike for two possible uses: the website messenger and the WhatsApp business link. Two communication channels that I know are used very frequently and with pleasure.

Anyone who has ever integrated a chat function into their website knows how complicated the process can be – after all, chat and website CMS must be easily linked together.


How do you find out about this at Userlike ? It's easy: use the Userlike Guide . There you will find an overview of all the options you can use to link your website with the website messenger:

My tip: Check out the page before linking if you are unsure how to proceed. I linked the website messenger to WordPress for testing purposes:

1. Go to the WordPress plugin overview page
You don't actually start in the Userlike account, but log in to your WordPress CMS and navigate to the plugin overview page. There you click on install.

2. Search for Userlike plugin
All you have to do is enter “ Userlike ” in the search box at the top right of the following page. The plugin should appear immediately. Click on install

3. Enter Userlike widget key
After installation, you will immediately notice that the Userlike website messenger is already visible at the bottom right. But it doesn't work yet. To do this, you must enter your Userlike widget key on the Userlike plugin page in WordPress .



You can find the key in your Userlike account under Channels > Website widgets > Install (far right) > Dropdown menu > Login details for apps. A little hidden, but you can find it with a little patience.

4. Check the link
To find out if everything worked, log in to your Userlike account. There, select the Channels > Website widgets section. The link should then be stored there. If you see “OK” in the status, everything worked.

A look at the message center also confirms that the connection is working. You can tell this because there is a small green dot next to your avatar in the bottom left and the control above it is set to “online”.
