I created my own account on LinkedIn shortly after it became available in German. At first it seemed "very American" to me and for a long time I didn't forgive the platform for showing my location as "near Cologne". At first it was really difficult to find contacts from my real network who were also on LinkedIn - and so I rarely spent time there for a long time. That has changed over the last few years and now I am active there for a certain period of time almost every working day. Even though some people think LinkedIn is just a kind of light blue Facebook - that's greece telegram screening simply not true. Although LinkedIn has gradually copied a lot of things from Facebook.

Functions and special features of LinkedIn
LinkedIn has various account models and, unlike Facebook, not all of them are free (although Facebook and Meta also changed that in the first quarter of 2023). LinkedIn, like XING, relies on a "freemium" model that allows free use for an unlimited period of time, but only makes certain functions available to paying members. If you see LinkedIn as your most important social media channel, a paid Premium Business Account could be worthwhile for you (more on that below). If it is only your second or third channel, this is not absolutely necessary.

As with other social media channels, you can publish normal posts on LinkedIn, which are called "contributions". These are relatively limited in length - if you have more to say, you can write a so-called article. This also offers other formatting options.
