In this context, a variety of offers with fair and transparent conditions of access and use can be created: digital infrastructure within the framework of services of general interest, European values "by design" in technological design...
With a caveat, however, added by Angela Merkel: "... I think the idea is very good. However, I do not believe that politics alone can implement it . It is possible to create a certain framework for this, but the initiative must come from society itself , the offer must be attractive. In the end, what counts is what is accepted by the population ."
An independent digital ecosystem for Europe?
Yes, but only if the need is understood by the population and if this digital public service is supported by all users. This is the sine qua non condition for transforming this great idea into a feasible project.
