Linking Instagram and Twitter

Post by Bappy11 »

In addition to asking you to share your contact list, Clubhouse encourages you to link your Instagram and Twitter accounts. Also with the reason to find connections, who you can invite to the app.

What you also give Clubhouse access to at the same time is all your tweets, your profile information, account settings, and the accounts you follow, have blocked, or muted. Why does Clubhouse collect all this information? The answer to this question is not found in the Privacy Policy .

No end-to-end encryption
According to Alexander Hanff, the conversations that are held on Clubhouse are not end fax lists -to-end encrypted. Now, this is of course not very remarkable, since these are public conversations on a social media platform. But because it seems like you are having some kind of group phone call, with the idea that if you have 'hung up' the conversation will disappear, I wanted to mention it anyway.

End-to-end encryption ensures that the content is encrypted so that only the sender and receiver can read or listen to the content. Clubhouse does not do this and can store all conversations and listen to them for 'research'.

Recordings
The app presents the concept as live conversations that are not recorded. However, BBC News has also reported that live streams have been found on other channels. Clubhouse has since removed the user who made this possible from the app and has taken new security measures.
