Once your podcast is published, it's very important to track some metrics that allow you to understand the performance of your content. While each platform has its own indicators, we recommend analyzing the following.
Listening
One of the most important metrics for evaluating a podcast's job seekers database performance is the total number of plays a show has—in other words, the number of people who have listened to the content.
You can sort your listening by episode, season, month, or year to identify which elements performed well and continue along those lines.
Downloads
The number of downloads is also a valuable piece of data to analyze. A user who only listens isn't the same as someone who decides to download content; for the latter, it's probably valuable material they want to keep.
Here you'll also discover which episodes are downloaded more than others, allowing you to understand which content your audience has enjoyed the most. Based on this data, you can develop strategies that are more targeted to your audience's interests.
Followers per episode
Analyze each episode separately and see how many followers you have for each one. If there's a significant difference between them, you should probably focus on those with fewer listeners and take steps to improve those numbers for future podcasts.
