vtiger CRM 5.4.0 RC is now available

We are pleased to release version 5.4 RC of the open source product vtiger CRM today. This version includes many usability improvements, enhanced features and over 100 bug fixes. These changes were previously applied to our customers upon request over the last 6 months.

Usability Improvements in 5.4.0

1. A simpler top-level menu that can be customized using MenuEditor.
2. A simpler user interface for creating custom filters
. 3. The Convert taiwanese phone number format Lead user interface has been redesigned to provide flexibility for users.
4. The import feature has been improved to make it robust.
5. The ability to select records on different pages for bulk editing or bulk sending.
6. Account has been renamed to Organization and Potential has been renamed to Opportunity.
7. Easily access hidden default widgets on the homepage.

Below are some notable features in the 5.4.0 RC release.

1. The workflow module has been improved so you can create records automatically.
2. Track who changed what with the “View History” for each record in the CRM.
3. Web forms module to easily integrate forms on your website with vtiger CRM.
4. Create your own charts and add them to the home page.
5. Improved customer portal to create more customizable options.
6. vcard import for contacts and leads
. 7. Include comments in leads and contacts reports.
