Candidate Recommendation (CR) – At this point, the group responsible for the standard is satisfied that it meets its intent. Community assistance is sought to refine how the standard is implemented.
Proposed Recommendation (PR) – The standard has gone through the previous two levels and has been submitted to the W3C Advisory Board for final approval. At this point, new modifications are rarely made, although some additional information may still be included that needs to be considered.
W3C Recommendation (REC) : At this stage, the standard has been reviewed and tested at a theoretical and practical level and is supported by the W3C. It is now ready for public use.
Since 1994, the W3C has published more than ninety W3C Recommendations.
These differ from other types of standards in that they contribute to promoting interoperability on the web and are stable.
Who is it for?
To fulfill its mission of creating a single World Wide Web, the W3C has established two main objectives:
Creating a website for everyone.
Make a website accessible from any device.
One of the main goals of the W3C is to make its benefits available to everyone and from any device.
This means that everyone can benefit from its social value, the possibilities it provides for human communication and trade, and the opportunities for sharing knowledge.
W3C standards aim to make these benefits available to everyone regardless of hardware, software, network, language, location, culture, or physical or mental ability.
Particularly noteworthy in this regard is its Web Accessibility Initiative , which includes all the strategies, standards and support resources to make it more accessible to disabled people.
We can use W3C WAI resources to ensure that our websites, applications and other digital creations are usable by everyone.
What can we validate?
W3C standards are developed based on six basic pillars:

Privacy and Security.

Ensure web accessibility.
Promote the internationalization of the website.

Ensure mobile accessibility.
