On October 30, DJI , a well-known manufacturer of civilian unmanned aerial vehicles, announced the ultralight folding Mavic Mini quadcopter , which, according to the vendor, is intended for everyday use as a flying camera. On Black Friday, the Ukrainian distributor Fly Technology offered everyone who wanted to test the capabilities of the new quadcopter, although not in street conditions, but in a specially equipped area of one of the Kyiv shopping malls. The editorial staff of Blog.imena.ua also tried to "fly" on the new device.
Design features
The Mavic Mini is the first drone in DJI’s portfolio to weigh less than 250 grams , and is the smallest and lightest drone the company has ever created. Its small size puts it in the category of drones that aviation regulators around the world consider safe to fly.
However, this model does have some of DJI's signature safety features, including: built-in geofencing, which helps pilots avoid certain restricted areas; altitude limits, AeroScope remote identification; and automatic return to the launch point when the drone loses contact with the controller or reaches a critically low battery level. However, it lacks the Forward Obstacle Sensing, rear, side, and overhead detection features found in more expensive models. However, there is a bottom obstacle detector that operates in a range of 0.5 to 10 m. There is also a landing sensor that automatically shuts down the engines when the drone is level with all points.

A Wi-Fi channel is used to communicate with the drone, which is used for both control and live HD video streaming.
The Mavic Mini's built-in camera, based on a 1/2.3" sensor with a uruguay number data resolution of 12 MP, supports 2.7K video recording at 30 frames uruguay number data per second, as well as 1080p video mode at 60 frames per second. The camera also allows you to take 12-megapixel photos. A three-axis mechanical gimbal stabilizes the camera, ensuring smooth and cinematic footage.

As you know, the weakest point of the copter is the propellers. If the drone crashes into a wall, pole or tree during flight, there is a high probability of breaking them. Therefore, the Mavic Mini comes with a special 360° Propeller Guard, which can protect the drone from all sides. Beginners are advised to “fly” only with such protection. Experienced pilots can remove it, as it increases the weight of the aircraft and reduces flight speed, climb speed and time in the air.

The remote control supports HD video transmission up to 2 km away. It is equipped with two removable joysticks that can be stored inside the device after use.
