What is the best domain name to choose? Some come up with something witty, others even poetic, others take some strange but sonorous words like:
Google;
Amazon;
Moz;
Instagram.
But which approach is considered correct?
Description of the domain and domain name
When thinking about how to choose a domain fishing and forestry email list name, first of all remember that it should work to promote the site.
This is a fully functional tool like many others.
After all, when you buy a hammer, you choose the one that is best for hammering nails (that is the purpose of the hammer). It is by this quality that you evaluate it.
The same is true for a domain name. Its job is to work for the site, and a user who comes to you by domain name should immediately understand: "Is this exactly what I need? Am I in the right place?"
This is the functional purpose of the address.
If you give people the ability to quickly figure out that they're in the right place, then:
This will attract more traffic to you.
It will allow you to retain visitors and subscribers, and then convert them into buyers.
You will be reposted more often on social networks, thereby giving more clicks.
What domain name should I choose so that the visitor can easily get an answer to the question “Is this what I need?”?
As clear and understandable as possible.
That is, when you choose a domain and domain name for a website, there are two key points - the functionality of the name and its clarity.

"Is this what I need?"
"Is this absolutely clear?"
Next, we need to figure out how to achieve this clarity.
Rules for creating a domain name
So, where do you start when creating a domain name for your own website?
There are several important rules to take into account here:
The Latin alphabet is allowed, but in certain domain zones (namely for IDN domains) it makes sense to take characters from the national alphabet. Upper or lower case, it does not matter: both are allowed.
The hyphen can be placed anywhere except at the beginning and end of the name. In some domain zones (but not all), the underscore is allowed.
Numbers are allowed. There are names made up of numbers only, but this looks rather suspicious, so unless there is a special need, site owners do not do this.
The maximum length of a domain name is 225 characters, and for each level name - 63 characters. The shortest allowed domain name is three characters (in some zones - two).
Registration periods vary, usually from 1 to 10 years.
