Windows 11 supports AutoHDR mode, which automatically enables HDR images in games, as well as DirectStorage technology — it allows you to speed up game loading by loading data into the video card's memory.

Improved touch screen experience

Which devices are supported?
Microsoft has released a PC Health Check app that will check if your device will run Windows 11. You can download it here .
Minimum system requirements to support Windows 11:
Dual-core compatible processor with a frequency of 1 GHz or higher.
4 GB of RAM.
64 GB of built-in memory.
Video card with support for DirectX 12 or later.
A display size of 9 inches or larger and with a resolution of at least 720p and higher.
Compatible with TPM 2.0, UEFI, and Secure Boot.
If your device doesn't meet the minimum requirements, you can still install Windows 11 on it via ISO. Microsoft won't prevent you from doing so, but the company doesn't guarantee full compatibility or reliable operation.
How to update
Windows 11 is available for Windows 10 users to install through Windows Update. The update will gradually roll out to all supported devices through mid-2022.
Users can also upgrade manually via the Setup Assistant, create an installation USB flash drive, or download an ISO image of the system from Microsoft's website. The upgrade to Windows 11 will be free for Windows 10 users.
Windows 11 will receive one major update per year, the updates themselves will be 40% smaller and will be installed in the background. Support for Windows 10 will end on October 14, 2025.
