Mistakes When Writing Product Descriptions

Post by subornaakter24 »

Poor descriptions are found not only on product pages in new online stores, but also on fairly popular sites. Let's look at the main mistakes to avoid them when filling out product cards.

Descriptions that are copied from other resources

This is a serious problem that is typical for many online stores. Thousands of sites have copied descriptions. Owners of such online stores cannot understand why product pages, and nurses email list sometimes even entire websites, do not appear in search results.

Search engine algorithms very rarely allow indexing of resources that contain copied content. And even if such a page with a product is indexed, it will be located much lower in the search results than the site with the original content.

Same descriptions for similar products

Search engines do not welcome such solutions, therefore, they may not index product pages with identical descriptions. There is also a possibility that copying information about similar products will lead to consumer deception.

Search engines may consider pages with copied descriptions as duplicates, so only one of them may remain in the results. If you create a separate description for each product page, they will all appear in the search engine index.

Overuse of keywords

Webmasters have not used descriptions with spam from keywords for a long time. Search engines throw such product pages out of the search results. Yandex and Google algorithms are constantly being improved in order to make Internet resources more useful for users, so texts with a large number of keywords are considered spam.

Descriptions on product pages are too long

The best is the enemy of the good. Do not use very long texts with descriptions on the product pages of an online store. They will look boring and unattractive, and, as we noted earlier, search robots care about users.

If you are designing a page for a completely new product and creating an interesting, structured description, then include in it exactly what will be useful to the user. How can a consumer buy a product that he knows little about and does not understand the possibilities of its use?
