What are Facebook Ads?

Facebook advertising is an advertisement that can be delivered to four platforms: Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, and Audience Network, combining text and one or more still images or videos in various formats.


Let's take a look at these four platforms.

Facebook
Facebook is a social networking site that was launched in 2006 by Facebook Inc., which was founded in 2004.

As of April 2019, Facebook boasts over 2.6 billion users worldwide and 26 million active users in Japan. In Japan, more than one in five people use Facebook, making it a widely used social networking site. Nowadays, not only are individuals using it for hobby and entertainment, but a significant number of companies also use it as a way to attract customers.

Messenger

Instagram

When you choose feeds as the location for your Facebook ads, your ads will appear in between feeds using these same formats.

Instant Articles
When you choose Instant Articles as your Facebook ad location, you can take articles that you already publish on the web and have them appear in a format that fits right into the feed in the Facebook mobile app.

In-Stream Video
By choosing in-stream video as the location for your Facebook ads, you can insert your company's ads before, during, or after the video content displayed on the Facebook feed.

Generally, users tend to shy away from advertising, but since the probability of video content in Facebook ads being watched to the end is over 70%, there is a fairly high probability that users will watch your ad, making it a place where you can easily achieve results.
