The included Grafana can be used to integrate additional data sources

If you want to integrate observability data from other systems into Speedgain for Databases in addition to relational databases, you have a variety of options. How this can be optimally integrated into Speedgain for Databases depends on the source system and the type of data to be recorded. For example, log data does not have to be persisted at different points in time. In this case, it is sufficient if it is available retrospectively for long enough. Some source systems can already retain the log data themselves for a correspondingly long time and make it available in a format that can be processed directly by Grafana, e.g. CloudWatch or Azure Monitor . For other systems, it is necessary to use an additional tool, such as Loki , to store the log data centrally outside the application. Such tools have the advantage that they use a storage structure optimized for log data, which uses significantly less storage space and can be queried and filtered efficiently at the same time.

A new data source is required to display the new data in Grafana. Many common data sources are already included in a standard installation of afghanistan telegram screening Grafana. Additional data sources are available by installing plugins. A plugin provides support for specific data sources or products, but can also contain ready-made dashboards. Some plugins also provide new panel types for specific data sources.

The list of available plugins is long and is constantly being expanded by the community. Fig. 2 shows an excerpt of the available data source plugins from the Grafana homepage.

tool for representing data from a wide variety of sources. Speedgain for Databases allows the user to make use of these functions and set up Grafana according to their wishes. Conversely, it is also possible to use an existing installation of Grafana to integrate the Speedgain for Databases dashboards.

By carefully selecting established open source products and adapting a modern software architecture, ITGAIN has succeeded in creating Speedgain for Databases, a universal observability tool for databases that adapts well to the requirements of hybrid environments and can be integrated into existing tool landscapes.
