These hashtag pages on YouTube will also sort the results by ranking at the top those videos that best fit the search according to their algorithm. But the elements that the social network uses for this classification are not entirely clear, since old and new videos are shown and they have apparently only been segmented geographically.

So, at least for now, the results will not be equivalent to those we are used to receiving on other social networks such as Twitter or Facebook, where the content that obtains the best ranking does so based on criteria of novelty and relevance, and this is a factor to take into account since it could make it difficult to find content that we have not seen previously.

However, these pages can serve as an interesting research tool for content creators, who will be able to take better advantage of this format with hashtags specifically aimed at their target audience.

And for now, hashtags on YouTube are very generic. For example, iran business email database when searching for the hashtag #marketing, the result shows more than 118,000 videos from more than 35,000 channels , and among the first results we find videos from 6 months to more than 3 years old.

In the case of the #ecommerce hashtag search, the YouTube landing page shows just over 36,000 videos from 10,500 channels. Once users get used to using hashtags to carry out their searches, the use of these tags will increase and specific niches can be reached, which will allow better targeting of content.

How to search for content using hashtags on YouTube
To access hashtag pages on YouTube, all you have to do is click on a hashtag and that's it! There's no need to search for the hashtag in their search engine. Also, if you already know which hashtag page you want to check, you can use a URL format to navigate : youtube.com/hashtag/[your search], for example youtube.com/hashtag/marketing .

According to the social network , hashtag pages are now available to all users worldwide, either in their desktop version or in their mobile application, and of course, as is often the case, their ranking algorithm will undergo modifications as their use expands, so we will have to remain attentive to any changes it may undergo in the future.
