Tempo – Grandir en musique is one of the first customers of the SMS Partner platform. A user of the platform since 2014, it uses SMS as part of its internal and external communication . For Entrepreneurship Week, find below the interview with Stéphane Lancereaux , founder of the company and regular client of SMS Partner. Can you tell us more about your company? TEMPO brings together 70 highly motivated performing musicians : every week, we run workshops in daycare centers, schools, businesses and for seniors. TEMPO was founded in 2013: this year we are working in nearly 200 establishments throughout the Ile-de-France region. In total, more than 5,000 hours of musical teaching, with 5,000 students, from 3 months to 99 years old ! What inspired you to create Tempo? At the heart of Tempo is the conviction that music is a wonderful educational tool . Music is accessible to everyone, it is a factor of development and can be transmitted through a pedagogy of play. And, through the practice of music, it is the whole person who gets moving and grows. Our ambition is to bring this educational treasure to educational establishments, without waiting for students to come and push open the door of a conservatory or a music school. We build with each establishment that welcomes us a musical educational project that fits harmoniously into the overall project of the establishment . A partnership that pleases the establishments as much as the TEMPO teachers and their students. On a more personal level, after 15 years in a large banking group, I aspired to more autonomy, freedom, and to build a meaningful personal project.

I have been practicing music as an amateur since I was young and I really like the very human dynamic of our projects . What are the most requested musical genres by your students? Our team of teachers is very denmark phone number data diverse, which allows us to meet the specific expectations of the teacher who welcomes us into their class. Thus, we have set up projects around opera, choirs in English, the world of musicals or contemporary sound creation, using the school as a sound body! We insist a lot on the collective dimension of musical practice : also, we favor a repertoire that lends itself to it… which is not always the case for contemporary variety! But the key word generally remains diversity.

Indeed, practicing music is a great opportunity to open up to different cultures, eras, varied styles : from gospel to world songs, including a little variety, traditional songs, musicals, jazz…. you never get bored with music! What do you think are the different benefits that music brings, whether for children or adults? As I have already mentioned, I am convinced that musical practice contributes to the integral development of the person . In all transparency, because music remains a game, we can therefore progress without suffering! The voice, the breath, the body, the memory, the concentration and listening, the capacities of expression, the logic and the structuring, the self-confidence, .... nothing escapes it! Finally, it is a great opportunity to experience a positive group dynamic .

I am always very touched when, after only a few choir sessions in a company, with beginner singers, the participants tell us how much it changes their daily life. They feel more fulfilled, less tense, full of energy, and their level of motivation increases, because they discover their colleagues from another angle . The cohesion within each group is built very quickly, and yet there is only one hour of rehearsal each week. I also appreciate it when a teacher from the school that hosts us tells us that the music class allowed him to discover new talents in one of his students . And when we have the parents practice some rhythmic games during the end-of-year show, I promise you that the assembly quickly becomes a forest of smiles! How do you use SMS at Tempo? As we work in around 200 establishments, with 70 teachers, schedule management is important .
