Building your own brands

Post by Abdur14 »

The legions of followers that these YouTubers have been adding to their channels over time have not only given them fame and collaborations with brands, they have also allowed them to build a character, jumping into the public sphere in such a way that they have advanced towards the creation of their own brand , under which they launch books, toys and all kinds of products that may be attractive to their audience.

This makes it clear that there is a whole business surrounding these minors that goes beyond the profits that their activity on social networks can bring them. Therefore, we should accept that their role as YouTubers is not a game or a hobby, but rather a job aimed at achieving financial benefits and consolidating a solid image that is attractive to their audience and to companies that wish to project their values through these children.

However, if we read the descriptions of their channels, their websites or the interviews they give with their parents, we find that this activity is talked about in playful terms. It is about selling an image as white as possible , in which the focus is always on the enjoyment of these minors and how much they like to dazzle the cameras, the focus is never on money. However, to what extent is this game free and fun?

In the end we are talking about content, about videos that must meet more or less professional or more or less strict characteristics , but they must meet them. Therefore, the minor will be directed and instructions have been given . From the simplest order, such as, for example, do not leave the frame, to the strictest, such as teaching him to clearly show the brand to the camera, they are still limiting frameworks .
