Project tracking is the process of managing, monitoring, and recording the progress of a project throughout its lifecycle. According to the Project Management Institute's (PMI) PMBoKĀ® guide , a project management process goes through five distinct process groups: initiation or design phase, planning , execution or project management, control and monitoring , and closure. Project tracking has a dual objective: to keep projects on track throughout all these phases and to ensure that, at all times, each project stakeholder is aware of the status of the various project components such as tasks, deadlines, resources, and budget.

Carrying out good project monitoring therefore involves:

a proactive schedule management approach to easily monitor project rcs data switzerland deadlines and milestones and quickly address bottlenecks and other delays,
controlled financial management so as not to spend more than the allocated budget,
large-scale program management to measure progress towards all business objectives,
good management of human and material resources to avoid overloading team members and to ensure that the right people and materials are always available at the right time ,
effective project management to reduce risk exposure by identifying elements that could compromise your project before they occur.
Generally, good project tracking therefore requires a powerful project tracking tool such as Monday Work Management. Indeed, depending on the size of your project portfolio, you may also need to use specific techniques such as Gantt charts, Kanban boards, synchronizing key performance indicators (KPIs), or developing stakeholder management specific to each project.
