I am one of those who thinks that everyone can be a blogger. As long as they want to be and put in the work, of course. Most of the fears about maintaining a blog on a regular basis are unjustified. In this post I will tell you what it takes to be a blogger.

Almost 8 years ago I probably had less knowledge about the world of blogging than most people who regularly read this blog. I didn't know any bloggers personally. My perception of this type of person was that of a typical geeky programmer who writes about technological topics that I understood little or nothing about. Over time I have come to know the truth behind the myths about blogging .

Becoming a blogger

To start a blog, you have to learn to live with the uncertainty of journalist email list whether people like what you write or not. Before publishing each post, I am still a little nervous because I fear some negative reaction. It is one of my main fears when I started the blog and it still is. When it happens, you realise that it is not that bad.

My definition of a blogger

A blogger is a person who maintains a blog, also known as a logbook or formerly a weblog. Their tasks include creating, publishing and promoting their page. In the beginning, bloggers published entries related to their daily life, which is why they were mostly referred to as a “personal blog”.

Blogger definition - What is a blogger?

Nowadays, the person who maintains a blog is more focused on dealing with a topic from his or her own experience. Most companies have also started to maintain a blog. This is where the “corporate” blogger was born, which in some cases has evolved with broader tasks, as can be seen in the figure of the community manager.
