There are different blogging strategies that help achieve different goals. Not all posts serve to generate traffic or have that intention.

A strange title, especially for this blog. I am the first to say that I write posts because I am interested in them being read. It is not easy to motivate myself every day to publish an entry that adds value to readers. I confess that I am weak, so comments (even if they are not always positive) and the number of visits are an important source of energy for me.

Analyzing other blogs, I am realizing that betting on visits and journalist contact database comments is only one possible option. Each article can be focused on achieving different objectives.

You only need to read different posts every day to realize that they obviously don't all pursue the same blogging strategy. There are even people (who say) that they don't care how many people read their blog (that's a lie... ). Getting the maximum number of visits and comments per post is, especially at the beginning, an important factor in not giving up and moving forward. As a blog matures, it makes sense to mix these basic objectives with more advanced ones. The articles we read every day can be grouped into 6 different strategies:

1. Short-term traffic strategy : This type of post is focused on creating peaks of visits within 24-72 hours. These posts can deal with current topics that, after the initial avalanche of traffic, are left with practically no visits.

2. Recurring traffic strategy : instead of writing about current events, we cover topics that do not expire, such as finding love, staying healthy, managing finances well, etc. For this reason, visits do not have to be very high at the beginning, but they can increase over time.
