What medical services will be available to Russians free of charge under the compulsory medical insurance in 2025

What medical care can be obtained under the compulsory medical insurance system?


There are no major changes in the approved program - all Russian citizens still have the right to receive free medical care under the compulsory medical insurance policy. The list of types and conditions for providing such care is quite wide. Thus, the program provides free:

Specialized medical care. It is provided in a hospital setting (day or round-the-clock), including obstetrics, cancer treatment, surgery and other complex types of care that require special equipment and supervision.
High-tech medical care that includes resource-intensive innovative treatment methods using genetic engineering, robotics, and cellular technologies.
Palliative care. It aims to improve the quality of life of patients with severe, chronic or life-threatening diseases, as well as their families.
Rehabilitation, which includes courses of massage, therapeutic exercise, physiotherapy, manual therapy and other methods aimed at restoring health after illnesses or injuries.
Treatment can be taken in any medical organization, including private clinics, if they have the ability to provide assistance within the framework of compulsory medical insurance. You can check the list of clinics with your insurance company.
