Truckers have started complaining about the errors in the road toll collection system: they claim that today a driver can receive an unfair fine of up to 200-300 thousand rubles, which will be extremely difficult to challenge. Among the reasons for the current situation, experts name the work of electronic warfare systems (EW), which jam the geolocation signal from satellites.

The Platon road toll collection system has started to guatemala mobile database malfunction due to inaccurate determination of satellite coordinates, as a result of which a driver can receive an unfair fine of up to 200-300 thousand rubles, said Sergei Voloshchuk, Chairman of the Interregional Trade Union of Professional Drivers. At the same time, he noted that today a truck driver cannot challenge the accrual of an erroneous fine.

"Maybe this system will change in the future. Maybe they will really listen. But now it is a money trough," the expert said.

According to Voloshchuk, drivers try to call the call center and sort things out, but in most cases this does not improve the situation. Platon specialists blame everything on drivers and urge them to check the devices more carefully. Voloshchuk also recalled that union representatives tried to fight Platon in 2015, but they failed to achieve anything.

"Platon" is a state system of collecting fees from heavy-duty vehicles weighing over 12 tons for travel on federal highways of Russia, Vadim Filatov, president of the "AvtoGruzEx" association, told RIA Novosti. According to the expert, the collected funds are sent to the Federal Road Agency for repair and construction of road surfaces.
