RLSA – Our savior for expensive search campaigns?

Post by tasmih1234 »

What exactly does RLSA mean?
RLSA - or Remarketing Lists for Search Ads - refers to the use of remarketing lists for campaigns in the search network. The remarketing lists can be used for bid adjustments or for targeting. In contrast to remarketing in display campaigns, RLSA is always used in conjunction with keywords and intercepts potential customers at various stages of the customer journey. Whether the user is searching for general or product-specific keywords, RLSA offers the opportunity to convince your potential customers particularly efficiently.

How RLSA campaigns work
RLSA is nothing other than classic remarketing in Google search. A normal search campaign is created with everything that goes with it: keywords, geographic targeting, ad texts, ad extensions and bid adjustments. The chile mobile numbers list remarketing lists that are stored in the campaign are a feature that is added on top of the campaign. You decide whether you want to store the target group at campaign or ad group level. Just make sure that your remarketing list contains over 1,000 users in the search network.

Option 1: “Bid only”
With soft RLSA, bid adjustments can be made for the individual remarketing lists. The campaign is then still targeted based on the stored keywords. This means that you can also give the auction system different CPC bids for the different target groups. In order to get an initial overview of which remarketing lists are actually relevant, you can first store and monitor them without bid adjustments. Conclusions can then be drawn from the data that is then collected and processed accordingly in the bids.

Option 2: “Alignment and Bidding”
With the more stringent RLSA variant, the remarketing lists are not only provided with bid adjustments. Instead, these, together with the keywords, form the campaign's targeting. This means that your ads are only displayed when a user from the remarketing list makes a search query that matches the keywords of your RLSA campaign.
