Sabine Klement: Trading in art is only worthwhile for very few people on the market. The reason is that buying art is only attractive for key customers if speculative profits are to be expected. So it is actually about an investment with aesthetic and emotional added value. These profits in turn only benefit a very small, elite circle of artists. In addition, these works of art are sold through galleries and increasingly art fairs. This requires representative rooms or exhibition stands, personnel costs, etc.

- i.e. fixed costs that entail a high economic risk and leave little room for experimentation or new artists. On the other hand, there is an oversupply of contemporary art, some of which is of really high quality. That is why I took the leap into self-employment with a lean business concept a good year ago because I think there are people interested in these works. At this point I would like to close a "brokerage gap".

Sabine Klement : The whole thing canada telegram screening was preceded by thorough and lengthy research into the right artists. They come from the greater Cologne/Bonn/Düsseldorf area and in one case from the Ruhr area. For me, a good working relationship also requires geographical proximity, because I visit the artists in their studios again and again. I now regularly receive requests from artists to represent them. My customers are primarily companies, e.g. agencies or law firms, but also private individuals. Simply people who would like to live and work in an inspiring environment without having to delve into the turmoil of the art market.
