My final project for Harve’s Digital Marketing Course is called “What Came After Harve”. Read on and you’ll soon understand why it’s called that.

I had been in the administrative sector since my first job and at the company where I work I was invited to join the marketing team, I accepted even though I had no experience or much knowledge about it. During russian email address list meetings I started hearing terms like “LP, benchmark, top, middle and bottom of the funnel” and obviously doubts about all this new language started to arise. Since it wasn’t my area and I had never worked with it before, I decided to take a digital marketing course to help me with the process of my new position. And that’s when I found Harve. At the beginning of the course I couldn’t relax or answer many questions, because I didn’t feel like I was a marketing professional, and everyone in my class already worked with this. But even though I was uncomfortable and thought it wasn’t for me, I absorbed all the knowledge and replicated it in my work with social media at the company.

When things started to change

At first, I didn't even know what a Persona was, so you can imagine that my content creation was completely loose and undirected. With Harve's classes, I started applying it to my work tasks and that's when things started to change. I created an editorial calendar, started thinking about the persona to write about, and we defined macro themes. I took the first step towards feeling more confident in meetings, also using the “marketing vocabulary”, and understanding what my colleagues were talking about.

Then came the need to use tools that would make my day-to-day easier, such as Mlabs, which allows me to have posts scheduled for at least 15 days. I was resistant at first, I always thought that manually was the best way (you can laugh, I know what you're thinking!) but yes, I had this outdated idea that there was no “easier and more practical” way.

And yes, I was wrong, because after the first experience of automating posts, so that I had more time to create, it was a real liberation, I was amazed!

I wish I had filmed my first programming on Facebook Studio (which I didn't even know existed until I started the course), I was immensely happy, excited and scared, which is the most normal feeling for someone starting out in a new area.

New discoveries

Then came my discovery of how a well-written copy makes a difference, and many things became clear in my head: how mental triggers really work, it's not nonsense, which is what I thought). You start to rethink all the marketing tactics that you yourself have fallen for. And as a good human being that I am, I have fallen for several, which opened up horizons for me that I could also write good copies with a little more study and dedication.

Discovering how ads, Google Ads, analytics, and SEO work, which were also discoveries that were completely outside my comfort zone, but it was really cool to at least see where each thing comes from, what each one is for, and even if I don't use it in my role, I know what my colleagues are talking about. This foundation is essential!

But then, what came after Harve?

And it was through all the classes and exchanges with my classmates, after making mistakes, asking for help, learning and spending a few months in the company of the marketing course that I say: “what came after Harve was: evolution!”

I evolved as a professional and as a person, I left the course knowing that LP does not mean “Linkin Park” and much more than new terms, I accepted myself as a professional in the area.

If that's what you want, to become a marketing professional, come to Harve. I would like to thank the school, the facilitator Fernando Maia who introduced me to Harve and the whole world of marketing, and also all the other facilitators who certainly make a difference in the lives of the students who have passed through here.
