Because of its casual nature, LINE makes it easy for people to register an official account (i.e., it is easy to recognize), and the number one reason given was "because I wanted stamps" (55.1%), so one of LINE's biggest features is the advantage of being able to reach new customers easily.
However, because operations must follow LINE's rules, it can be difficult to make your company stand out.

Compared to LINE, official apps have the hurdle of linkedin database downloading the app for new customers, but once a user has come into contact with the company (downloads the app), there is a high possibility that they will become a valuable customer, and the company can continuously send information tailored to the user.
Another advantage of official apps is that the data can be accumulated as an asset and managed and utilized. Because
of these advantages, a company's official app can be positioned as "owned media" rather than "paid media," and it can be said to be a medium that can make the most of the company's characteristics and originality.

With the ever-increasing penetration rate of smartphones in recent years, the use of LINE and official corporate apps will continue to increase in the future.
Furthermore, the key to marketing in an environment overflowing with information will be to understand the characteristics of both and use them appropriately to turn users into fans of your company.
