Connectivity: The “keyword” that enables growth and improvement in business management

Not many years ago, the Internet and the connection to the network were seen by many companies as a danger, both in terms of security and the loss of time it could entail for employees. At one time, computers revolutionised the office. The next step in the evolution of business management will be the connected company. For the time being, many businesses are still working with the traditional model: applications and information stored on their computers on the server located in their office. Connectivity often breaks the employee's feeling of loneliness, of being an island in the middle of the organization, in which they do not always interact adequately with the other departments.

At the same time, this connectivity has to boost access to data from all types of devices . Nowadays, business is not just about sitting in front of a computer at our workplace. Laptops have been with us for years on our visits to clients. But in many cases, the information was also segmented, and we only had access to the information stored on the device, not to the information updated by the company every day.

This can mean that the latest information available is not available, whether or not there is financial room to make a better offer for the client, etc. But above all, it often means that work is duplicated , having to collect a series of data during the visit to the client and then "dump" it on their return to the office. Connectivity and the use of appropriate applications can put an end to this issue.

In addition, solutions are often used from smartphones or tablets , with employees taking advantage of the capabilities of these devices to connect to their business application, obtain an invoice, create a quote, review a delivery note or add visit data to the company's CRM. In this way, all customer information is duly recorded.
