You've just managed to use Facebook and Instagram, now there's another new marketing tool around the corner, Snapchat! With 400 million messages sent worldwide every day, this application is definitely worth it.
Currently, Snapchat is one of the most popular apps among millennials. Many large companies such as Intel, CNN and the World Wildlife Fund use the application as a marketing tool through advertisements. Unfortunately, advertising on Snapchat is not yet possible in the Netherlands, but that does not stop creative marketers from joining this hype.

Walibi Holland, in collaboration with the Dutch-Polish rapper Mr. Polska, started a Snapchat campaign to promote the new roller coaster 'Lost Gravity'. The so-called 'Walisnaps' with sneak peeks of the roller coaster were visible for a maximum of 24 hours in 'My Story'. Through this collaboration and the popularity of the channel, Walibi was able to reach a large part of the target group in one go and in this way attract their attention.

In addition to these sneak peeks, there are many other ways to use Snapchat effectively for your business.
1) Discount code

Engage in conversation with your followers by asking them questions like: 'what flavor is your favorite?' or 'how would you pair these shoes?'
Heineken has picked this up well. During the festival 'Coachella' Heineken sent clues via Snapchat about a surprise performance during the event. The person who sent the right answer back via Snapchat was the first to receive information about the location and the artist and could therefore claim a spot at the front!

4) Behind the scenes look
By giving your followers a look behind the scenes, you show who you are as a company. In this way, you involve the consumer in the process and he or she will feel more connected to the brand. This transparency and involvement increases the chance that the customer will remain loyal.
A good example is Radio 538. They send Snaps of activities that happen in the studio, which the listener would otherwise not see. After the radio station noticed that the Snaps were a success, the channel was also used to announce program components and to share exclusive previews with their followers.
5) Storytelling
Young people tell their story in Snaps. By posting a series of short videos and photos in a row, they show who they are, what they do and where they are. Companies can also use the app in this way. By showing the image of the company via Snaps, you can show your followers in a creative and visual way who you are as a company and what you stand for. 6) Distribute exclusive content
Because the content you post on Snapchat is available for a maximum of 24 hours, the channel lends itself well to distributing exclusive content. The car brand Honda took advantage of this and shared a sneak preview of the new Acura with its first 100 followers on Snapchat. Only then was the video distributed via other channels.
