If you've been following this blog for the past few weeks, you've probably noticed that I place a lot of importance on building a subscriber list. Before talking about how many times a month or a week you can send emails to your readers, you may want to think for a moment to identify the occasions when it makes sense to use this communication channel. Some people may find it obvious when in reality it is not.
New blog post : Many people assume that every new blog post is communicated to readers. This depends a lot on the frequency of publication. In my case, I publish one post per day, so I don't want to "bother" subscribers with emails from me every day. In the case of publishing much less frequently, this is a valid option.
Give away exclusive content : This is always a good excuse. Being a subscriber to your blog has to have a reward, or at least from time to time. So create exclusive content that only they will receive. A podcast, a video, an e-book or any other gift can do the trick.
Commercial promotion : especially those who want to generate income with a subscriber list depend on being able to generate income with the help of e-mail marketing campaigns. Here, the frequency and type of promotion are key to avoid the risk of too many unsubscribes that often occur with this type of mailing. We will discuss this in more detail at another time.
