LinkedIn Videos: To Do or Not to Do?

Post by Arzina3225 »

Here is a great example of McDonald’s latest campaign . Perfectly made from the perspective of their target group. Not only do you get to see who your colleagues will be in your area. They also translate this to the pull factors of this target group, such as arranging your own working hours and they show you what you can buy with your hard-earned money.

You have now seen a number of examples and you will probably see them more and more in your LinkedIn timeline. I wonder if you have become enthusiastic? Or do you not see the added value, now that the novelty has worn off?

[Update April 13] In this article we shared a poll about whether those LinkedIn videos are amateurish or authentic. There were 85 votes: 22.4% (19 votes) say 'amateurish' and 77.6% (66 votes) say 'authentic'. So the vast majority thinks the videos are ok! If you want to say a little more about the poll or share your experiences, share it in the comments below.

Tips: from amateurish to authentic
If I come back to the statement: amateurish or philippines mobile number list authentic? To do or not to do? Then I personally choose to do, but do it well! It can be a little less formal than many employers think. Also on LinkedIn, a perfect tool for your personal brand. People want to see and hear you. But add value: share knowledge, tell about your experiences or inspire the viewer.

You can avoid being amateurish if you follow the following tips:

First shot: You, and with a smile. Think of something creative to grab the viewer's attention.
Subtitles: a must for a silent channel like LinkedIn. For example, use the (iPhone) app Clips .
Sound: Make sure the sound is clear. Use a microphone (this can even be done with your phone's earphones).
Background: look at the incidence of light (choose daylight) and the atmosphere you create with the background.
Content: Again, share knowledge and experiences. And don't sell products or services.
This above doesn't sound like rocket science and it can all be done with your smartphone. Now all you need is the GUTS to record and post a video. As far as I'm concerned

Society is rapidly digitizing and that has a major impact on consumer behavior. Not only in business, but also in healthcare. People click, like, post and respond with their PC, laptop or smartphone like crazy. More than ever before, it is all about a smart marketing strategy for finding, seducing, conquering and connecting customers. The 4V model offers a handy framework for this, in this article I explain how you can use it.
